こんいちわ！　Churchーです。 あき　やすみ　サウスダコタ　の　パインリッジ　きょりゅうち　の　ラコタ　ぞく　（Lakota reservation）　に　りょこおしました。　ノートル　ダム　の　インディジナス　エデュケーション　（Indigenous Education）　の　クラス　と　いきました。 ノートル　ダム　の　クラス。 マフピヤ　ルタ　の　がっこ　に　いきました。 ラコタ　ぶんか　（culture）と　カトリック　（Catholicism）　を　はなしました。　カトリック　の　イエズスかい　の　きょうだい　と　しまい　（Jesuit brothers and sisters）と　ばんごはん　を　りょおりました。　フード　ソブリンティ　(food sovereignty)　や　エデュケーション　(education)　や　げんご 　リバイタライゼーション　(language revitalization)　を　はなしました。 ラコタ　の　 カトリック　の　きょうかい。 フード　ソブリンティ　の　プログラム　(food sovereignty program)　の　チキン　(chicken)。 バッドランズ　で　はいきんぐ　を　しました。 そして、　スウェット　ロッジ　（sweat lodge）　で　スウェット　を　しました。　すごかった　です。　 スウェット　ロッジ。 ひ　(fire)　that warmed the　 いし　（rocks)　that we poured　みず　on to create steam inside the　 スウェット　ロッジ。   スウェット　の　あと　で 。 ヘアパイプ　（hairpipe - made of bones)　の　イヤリング　を　かいました。 たくさん　まなびました！　そして　たくさん　ともだち　を　あいました。　I hope to　かえります。 じゃあ　また！ --Lily

 こんいちわ！　Churchーです。 もくよおび　の　ごぜん　ごじ　はん　に　Minnesota　の　Minneapolis　で　りょこおしました。　AISES　（American Indian Science and Engineering Society）conference　に　いきました。　プレゼンテーション　の　cultural burning　と　blood quantum　と　health research　と　data sovereignty　に　ききました。　I even met an author of a　 ほん　を　よみました！　ばんごはん　を　researcher　の　ともだち　と　たべました。　Native science　が　だいすき　です；　Native health　に　かかわる　しごと　が　したい　です。　だから、AISES conference　が　だいすき　です。 Norbert Hill Jr.　の　blood quantum　の　  プレゼンテーション 。　わたし　は　こうこう　のとき、　Norbert Hill Jr.　の　ほん　を　よみました。　だいすき　です！　 どおよび　の　ごご　じゅうじ　ごろ　に　South Bend　に　かえります。　いま、　しゅくだい　が　たくさん　ある！　Wish me luck. じゃあ　また！ --Lily

こんにちわ！　Church-です。 わたし　の　しゅみ　わ　おんがく　です。　Onuki Taeko　の　”4:00 A.M.”　が　だいすき　です。It was released in the 70s. I have always enjoyed this うた  and how it sounds,  でも  I have never really understood the lyrics. こんにちわ！　Church-です。 きょお、I am practicing my にほんご  by tracing through a typical day in my life as a Nooturu Daamu の　だいがくせい。  １）わたし　は　あさ　はちじ　に　おきます。　 ２）それから、はちじ　はん　ごろ　しょくど　で　あさごはん　を　たべます。 Cereal　と　りんご　を　たべます。 ３）くうじ　はん　ごろ　に　くらす　で　いきます。げつようび　と　すいようび　に　にほんご　の　くらす　と　physics　の　くらす　と　biostatistics　の　くらす　で。かようび　と　もくようび　に　biological anthropology　の　くらす　と　genetics　の　くらす　と　にほんご　の　くらす　で。ときどき　research lab で　arubaito　を　します　in between classes.　ごご　じゅうにじ　はん　に　ひるごはん　を　たべます。 ４）まいにち　よじ　ごろ　に　kafe　で　いきます。　わたし　は　koohii　を　のみます。　しゅくだい　を　します。 ５）しちじ　ごろ　に　しょくど　で　ばんごはん　を　たべます。 ６）ともだち　の　へや　で　えいが　を　みます　or to　べんきょうします。 ７）ごぜん　じゅうにじ　ごろ　に　ねます。 And that's all!  こんにちわ！　Church-です。 しゅみ　は　びじゅつ　と　おんがく　と　すぽおつ　です。 わたし　は　え　が　すき　です。More specifically, I like to paint with watercolors and draw! はな (flowers)    と　とり　(birds) are usually my favorite subjects.  A   きつね   I painted/drew. わたし　わ　おんがく　が　だいすき　です。My おばあちゃん inspired in me my love for おんがく, and because of her I like to play the ピアノ (piano). Some of my favorite composers are Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff. I also love to listen to おんがく, especially indie/alternative の　ろっく　と　ぽっぷ, と R&B.  Some of my favorite artists are Two Door Cinema Club, Glass Animals, Arctic Monkeys, and The Neighbourhood.  My   おばあちゃん   and I played duets together! わたし　は　さっか　が　すき　です。I played さっか for じゅうねん、 and still like to kick the ball around nowadays.   しゅっしん　は　Oregon　の　Portland, and we have one of the women'sさっか teams in the country: the Portland Thorns. こっにちわ！ はじめまして、わたし　の　なまえ　は　Church-です。 Nooturu　Daamu　だいがく　の　さっねんせい　です。　せんこう　は　せぶつがく　です。 しゅっしん　は　Amerika　の　Oregon　しゅう　の　Portland　です。 どうぞよろしくおねがいします！ Doing vertebrate  せぶつがく  work on a Notre Dame field trip to Costa Rica わたし  の  しゅっしん:  Portland, Oregon しゅうのにほんの media: This weekend, I watched a couple episodes of the あにめ One Piece .  I have not watched much あにめ before--only  Death Note and Studio Ghibli の えいが--so I was happy to expand my scope. I love the feel/style of the animation in the older episodes; it reminds me of some of my favorite childhood shows, like The Adventures of Tintin or Scooby Doo.  One Piece's main character, Luffy My favorite character thus far is Robin-さん. The hiragana we've learned so far helped me piece together a few words and phrases while watching the show!
